Recent Moron

Logic and reason mean nothing to the dogmatic. Case in point: Last night I'm listening to a local right-wingnut politico rant about why the Federal government should be allowed to directly interfere in people's private lives-ala Terry Schiavo , Patriot Act, abortion , empire-building and the upcoming draft... etc. He thinks politicians are smarter than reg'lar folks and should control our most personal decisions- because "it's better that way".
I strongly oppose this viewpoint.
I remind my new pal that a true Conservative doesn't believe in a large and invasive government.
He tells me I'm a liberal. Wrong.
He tells me I'm an idiot.Wrong.
He's putting my drinks on his tab, so I'm fairly certain who the idiot is.

What a fucking pussy.

I despise the fascism that he endorses. It's a rote recitation of 'talking points' gleaned from the likes of Limbaugh, Coulter, Drudge and El Duce -I can't listen to this regurgitated dis-informed crap.
Shut the fuck up.
Please shut up.

He declares victory , buys me another Scotch and retreats.

Fucking pussy.

Yes.
Faith (or lack thereof) is a very personal choice and should be considered as private- not hidden, but also not enforced on the unwilling.
No shame and no blame.
But having an idiot-manchild question my ethics and morals pushes me over the edge.I'm a short person and I hate violence, but this guy was feeding me liqour and ignorance.Bad combo. He's very lucky I didn't club him upside his head with a brick.

Nah, he's an idiot and an asshole.
He paid for the hootch so he could prove he had more money than me. Not difficult.
So I exploited the wanna-be rich boy.I feel plain awful for doing so.So many tears of remorse...
He got chumped by a grade-school drop-out and won't even know it until he gets his Visa statement.
I really do not like this man, and I can get along with almost anyone.

The "ideal" behind a democratic republic is that the "elite", defined intellectually, monetarily, ethically, etc are the primary decision makers for the masses. They may take in input from the masses, but they "know better" than the poor working uneducated peep. It's an ugly thought in many many ways, and yet, we seem to uphold it. Not many "normal folk" end up in positions of real power. The elite take care of each other. Large chunks of the masses believe what the elite tell them and do as they say. They use the guise of patriotism and capitalism, etc to make us believe they only have our best intentions at heart while they make millions and we lose our pensions, fight for a minimum wage, scrabble for the crumbs... Fools like the numbnut you had drinks with like it, because they mistakenly believe they can become a part of the elite. There's the "capitalism and you can be whatever you want to be" msg again.

S- that's very true. Buying drinks for and arguing with a crackpot blogger is not going to help him climb the status ladder.
