A new CamelsbackandForth Contest:
I sometimes use the exclamation "gub!" in my posts and emails- who can tell me the specific origin and context of this utterance?
The winner gets...something.
Something really cool.
What that is depends on who-if anyone- wins.
This contest is not open to anyone who has seen me naked. Gub!
Hurry! The deadline for entries is sometime.

I think it came from either:
1) MAD magazine
2) R. Crumb
I am leaning towards R. Crumb.
(see I do leave comments!)
Sorry Beth, but you are not eligible for this contest.
Rules is rules.
Both answers are incorrect, by the way.
It's from my first word: bug.
Because we are connected in a Steven Spielberg kinda way.
"Bug? But I said Gub!"
Well, you see.. What is your blogname? BACKWARD CAMEL (on my blog, that is what I call this blog) And Bug backwards is what? GUB!
That is it's origin.
And I have seen you naked.
-twilight zone tune-
we all have words that we use often, even though they may only be "real" words to us, individually. your "gub" for instance. or my "frizzle", or "mub".
have a great frizzle day and may your day be more myrrh than mub!
heh.
Emelie- very very good...wonderful mind you have. I award you an 'A' for adoration. Sadly , it's not quite the right answer though.
"Spielberg? But I said Kubrick!"
Yeah, I know you have. I was in that dream too.
-----------------
Barb- also a great mind and a good answer. Also incorrect. I award you a 'B' for Barb, since that is your name. In my scale an A & B are the same, so do not feel slighted.

Beth- Oh I'm so sad. I was so sure that you knew the answer I had to invent a rule just to exclude you.
(hint: think ABOVE the waist)
I give you an 'F' for Forgetting.
tsk..
