EotR- I think Harry Crews is still alive (I loves me my Southern writers)- and I KNOW Umberto Eco is still kickin' 'cos I just read his latest...Max Barry's 'Jennifer Governmnent' was great- he's a promising and suitably outraged young talent...'course I'm readin' old Jim Thompson novels, so I'm a bit behind.
