Bad: My computer died this evening and a friend's diagnosis was not good. He's gonna help me get some sort of PC slapped together on the cheap (or less), so it's only a temporary setback. I can still access the web at work and on this borrowed laptop, although the laptop tends to crash every 10 minutes...aaagh! At least it re-boots OK. I'll be started over from scratch- I have a fair amount of back-up files, but all my programs are probably hosed. I'll find out soon.
Good: I am still alive and feeling better. I worked nearly an entire day but left shortly after four- everyone did. A nearby construction crew had cut our power line and no one could work, so we went home with permission.
If the crud comes back again, I have money available to see my regular doctor. It feels like fever broke , I'm much more comfortable now- except for my ongoing computer-driven nervous breakdown.
I plan on resting all weekend because next week I'll have a lot of live music to do. It's fundraiser week at the radio station.
I probably won't do my show this week , but next week I wanna be healthy enough to work, because our fund raisers are fun, not stodgy. More on that later.
Good night.
Thank you all for your warm wishes and all-around good vibes. I'll see you as soon.

I'm sorry about the computer - that truly bites. Happned to me once, too, but I was at least able to save most of my files.
I'm so glad to hear you are feeling a litle better. Rest up!
I'm so sorry about your computer. I hope this weekend brings you the rest and recuperation that you need.
Sorry to hear about your computer, but very glad to hear you are doing better. Computers are a lot cheaper to fix and more plentiful than Allans.
Bloody computers!
I suppose once all of the Puters morph into those nasty Schwartzenegarian Hunter-Killers it will be a lot easier to live without them.
*one can only hope
