Bin Laden is a better spokesman for the GOP than is President Bush.
Casting Bin Laden in a national GOP commercial is ultimately more effective and
LESS damaging for the Republicans than casting the president. In fact, have you
seen a single NRCC, NRSC or RNC commercial featuring George W. Bush? Maybe it's not because he's electoral poison right now. Perhaps he's too busy stumping for
racists and guys who (allegedly) strangle their mistresses. Or maybe he's too
busy betraying his followers by suddenly flip-flopping on his "stay the course
in Iraq" pledge. Or maybe George W. Bush has been quoted too often saying he
doesn't spend too much time on Bin Laden and hence has let him go. The president
not spending time on the Bin Laden issue is a pretty damn big stake, if you ask
me or anyone else with an intact brain stem.
If you have broadband, speakers and ten minutes to spare, you owe it to yourself to watch Keith Olbermann's passionate take-down of this desperate GOP strategy of fear.
I remember Olbermann from his sportscaster days- he was pivotal in busting McGuire and other steroid abusers- Olbermann has the journalistic jaws of a pitbull and he backs everything he says up with actual facts, facts being the GOP's worst enemy.
Check him out.
Pretend that you are an avid Bush supporter- (maybe you are, I dunno who reads this) can you find any flaws in his facts, logic and reasoning?
Dangerous combo: Passion, anger, logic and reason.
Dangerous to neo-cons.

I don't mind pissing people off and I'm not at all afraid to defend my opinions.
-However-
Sometimes my opinions are based on bad logic and I get corrected by better-informed people than myself- if I never expressed those wrong ideas, I would never have had the chance to learn better.
Not the easiest lessons, perhaps, but humbling and neccessary.
That, of course, is just my opinion.
i have a black ribbon on my truck..it says 'enough with the ribbons already'...
all those dipshits with support our troops, and have there cars, suvs, trucks etc covered with ribbons..should inlist..that will support the troops more than the ribbons..
i saw the oberman take-down, too...was awesome. we were cheering the tv, for once. d3
i haven't heard many firm ideas from the dems on global warming. it seems mr gore only took up the cause after he gave up on future presidential aspirations.
d3- write to me wouldja?
ruby- the GOP has a very firm idea for global warming: "Bring it on. Stay the course."
-but-
I don't much care for (dem)John Dingell's "gather more facts" about global warming stance either; it sounds too much like "stay the course"...
-but-
Mr. Dingell has some ideas I do like:
"Mr. Dingell favors immediate relief through a "Medicare for All" system — perhaps starting with laid-off autoworkers. He says he would also work to replace the Bush drug plan with a direct government benefit."
-but-
This rant is about the GOP's terrorist tactics, not Green issues...the party that burns the Bill of Rights doesn't give a damn what happens to the smoke!
