What smells were there? Cooking food, wet dog, old lady mothballs? Was it noisy, quiet, music playing, rabbles rousing? Were you happy, sad, excited, terrified? Why do you think this memory has stuck in your brain?
Just some thoughts.
I love a good stroll down memory lane, even if it's somebody else's memory.
Speck, Hiya! Always nice to see a new 'face'...good idea on the block...it was the '69 moon landing (I was three) my dad said : "this is important"...I wrote about it long ago, but perhaps a revisit is in the works...
Angel, It's OK. I got a million time better on guitar during the downtime...it's hard being brilliant at everything, y'know? (I like the cartoons, btw.)
Beth, What a great idea...but the site seems to be crashed- you can see the exponential growth on the totals, however- hopefully, it's a success and the servers are getting upgraded!
Hiya back atcha. I've been watching the camels backing and forthing and thought I'd jump in with a comment at the break in traffic. I've been suffering writer's block too this week. However I think mine is simply due to brain deadness.
I remember the moon landing, kinda, sorta. Mom woke me up in the middle of the night with the same "this is important" comment. I think I lasted about 10 minutes before I dozed off and missed the whole thing. :(
