Pouring

Good Salt: Last night I made the best burritos, ever. I blackened some chicken tenderloins, made jasmine rice w/cilantro, sauteed onions and peppers, added some jalapeno-enhanced corn relish, sour cream and tomatoes ...roll it all up in a large tortilla...repeat as needed...mmm...I've been feeling poorly lately, so maybe some good food will improve my lot.
It can't hurt, right?

Dump Truck: I re-broke a tooth and swallowed a filling. It hurts.

Good Salt: I have a job that allows me to save enough money to entertain the idea of purchasing a spiffy new PC.

Dump Truck: My Volvo is suddenly dead weight. I'm lucky to have a job that allows me to save enough to shop for a twelve-year-old Honda.

Bring On The Landfill: I'll probably wind up settling for a 1989 Chevette and a root canal.

Good Salt: HQ is auditing our past work records and paying overtime to everyone who worked more than eight hours in a single day, regardless of whether they worked 40 hours in that week or not...when I was in Recruiting I would sometimes work a 10 or 12-hour day and then be forced to take a half-day off in order to stay under 40 hours- under the new policy, I will be getting overtime back-pay for those extended days.

BOTL: HQ has stated that anyone accruing retroactive back pay as a result of the new policy will be fired.
